Capital Kids Children’s Ministry is a fun, vibrant, and safe place for your children to pursue their natural interest in God experiencing His love, learning His Word, discovering who they are, and practicing loving others just like Jesus does.

 

Safe, Loving, & Qualified Leaders

Your child’s safety and well-being are our highest priorities. We are blessed with an amazing team of thoroughly background-checked leaders vetted through both Protect My Ministry, and New York State OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services). Additionally, we always have multiple leaders present in Kids Church who are fully certified in First Aid and CPR at all times.

Age-Appropriate Classrooms

Thanks to our dedicated staff, we are able to split children into targeted age groups so each child learns and plays in an environment tailored just for them:

  • Nursery & Toddlers: Ages 0–2
  • Preschool & Pre-K: Ages 3–5
  • Elementary: Ages 6–12

Each classroom features an age-appropriate curriculum designed to engage kids at their developmental stage. Every Sunday includes high energy praise and worship where kids can dance and sing along, interactive Bible lessons, games, dedicated prayer time, and a weekly snack.

Welcoming Families: Our First-Floor Family Room

Are you visiting for the first time, or not quite ready to leave your little one just yet? We have a comfortable Family Room located on the first floor. Parents can relax, care for their children, and participate in the service via live stream as your family gets to know and love our church community at your own pace.

Our Big Monthly Focus: BGMC

Every month, our Kids Church highlights BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge). Our students discover what God is doing across the globe, hear stories from missionaries around the world, and learn how Capital Church can pray for and support them as they fulfill God’s calling.

Year-Round Fun & Community

Capital Kids is about community beyond Sunday mornings! We host events and activities throughout the entire year for our students and families, including:

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS)
  • Fall Family Festivals
  • Super Bowl Parties
  • …and so much more!

In Our Rooms: What This Looks Like

  • Meet Friends: Nobody sits alone. When a new face walks in or someone drops their markers, our kids are the first to reach out and say hello.
  • Grow in Jesus: Bible adventures, high-energy worship, and honest questions help our faith step out of the classroom and onto the school playground.
  • Lead the Way: You do not need to wait until you are an adult to pray for a friend, share what you have, or invite a neighbor to church.
