Preschool, After School Care
Welcome to Capital Church Preschool, Aftercare
At Capital Church, curiosity meets community. From early childhood milestones to after-school enrichment and active summer adventures, we provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment designed to help every child thrive.
Montessori-Inspired Preschool
Our preschool program builds a joyful, lifelong foundation for learning. Grounded in Montessori-inspired principles, our curriculum encourages hands-on exploration, independence, practical life skills, and creative problem-solving. We don’t just meet New York State OCFS benchmarks we consistently go above and beyond them to ensure your child enters kindergarten confident, capable, and excited to discover the world around them.
Family-Focused Aftercare & Homework Club
We believe evenings should belong to families, not school stress. Our aftercare program features a structured, supportive Homework Club where students receive dedicated guidance to finish their daily schoolwork and strengthen essential skills including reading comprehension, writing, and math.
With supplemental curriculum and practice materials readily available, our educators offer targeted help in any area where your child needs an extra boost. By the time pickup arrives, the work is done, freeing your family to spend the evening relaxing and reconnecting together.
Our Safety & Quality Commitment
Your peace of mind and your child’s safety are at the core of everything we do:
- Thoroughly Vetted Team: Every staff member undergoes comprehensive New York State OCFS background checks prior to entering the classroom.
- Always Prepared: CPR- and First Aid-certified staff members are on-site at all times.
- Individualized Attention: We strictly adhere to compliant student-to-teacher ratios to ensure consistent supervision, warmth, and individualized support.
